AWRT - Promoting Progress, Creating Change

American Women in Radio and Television, Inc

We are a nonprofit, national organization of professionals (men and women) working in the electronic media and closely allied fields. The mission of the Golden Gate Chapter of AWRT is to provide a forum for educational topics and current industry focus in the field of broadcast and allied fields on a local basis. It will provide resources and act as liaison to its members and the industry, both locally and nationally. Further, the local Golden Gate Chapter of AWRT is committed to community service and nonprofit projects that will enrich and educate its members and sponsors.

It is truly an honor to be the President of the Golden Gate Chapter of AWRT. San Francisco, and the Bay Area both reflect the diversity in Women that AWRT promotes.

2010 will bring us into some new and exciting plans for American Women in Radio & Television, nationally. We are planning a variety of events to provide you with opportunities to mentor, or receive mentorship, career assistance, and to network with industry professionals, friends and colleagues.

Our award-winning "Kudos" awards lunchtime panel discussions will be even bigger and better, and we will also be bringing you a host evening workshops and networking mixers created to enrich and enhance your professional and personal lives. I look forward to your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and involvement.
