Increase membership via a membership
drive. The San Francisco Bay Area
is the fifth largest media market, yet
the Golden Gate chapter of AWRT currently
has a base of about 70 members.

| 2. |
Increase the number and depth of
AWRT programs. The programs will
continue to be informative and fun
and will be geared toward media professionals
at all stages of their careers. |
| |
With
job cuts being a serious concern in
this market, A.W.R.T. programs must
address how to survive or reinvent oneself
in a shrinking job market where the
economy is slow to recharge. |
| |
Networking
opportunities and mentoring are in high
demand in most fields these days. AWRT
plans to increase these offerings. Membership
in AWRT should be an essential tool
for all women and men in Bay Area television,
radio, new media, and related fields.
|
| 3. |
Form more strategic partnerships
with affiliations of other media professionals;
including high tech groups and many
other Bay Area women's associations.
If you would like to partner with AWRT,
please email
President, Tonya Sellers. |
| 4. |
Increase the visibility of the Golden
Gate Chapter of AWRT: If the above
mentioned goals are met, increased visibility
will be achieved. AWRT is a wonderful
organization both locally and nationally. |
